We are happy to welcome Night Owl to the site! They’re a wonderful little duo down in Alabama (they like to call it Owlabama) making great cards, journals, and totes. Icing on the cake is their eco-friendly focus in all of their products. How can you resist this cuteness?

New to Josh Jakus’s creative line of Um bags is the Um Shoulder.  It’s the first with, you guessed it, a shoulder strap, cleanly integrated into the zipper.  Transporting your necessities hands-free never looked so good.  Available in orange, green, blue, pink, and gray.

New from talented designer Kathleen Plate are wonderful earrings and necklaces made from recycled wine and beer bottles. The glass is suspended on sterling silver, creating simple and elegant pieces that look gorgeous.

We have a slew of creative new items from San Francisco-based designer, Josh Jakus.

The lovely Eggflat and Eggflat Mini are sculptural tabletop pieces reminiscent of the classic egg carton shape, and are perfect as a creative centerpiece, or to keep special little things organized in one place.  We love how they can be interlocked into larger shapes.

He has also introduced two items made from recycled rubber, the 6-Pack Coasters and Napkin Catch Placemats.  Both are available in an assortment of great colors to match your every need.

We’re excited to add Recycled Rubber Wallets to the shop!  Made from reclaimed inner tubes, each wallet is vegan, incredibly sturdy, and made with care in Colorado.  Features all of the necessary pockets and slots for your cash and cards, and a nice slim profile.

Guy Décor makes a good case that men want to drink from a beer bottle at every meal. Well, these glasses (as well as these) are a great way to do just that.

These recycled beer glasses have been a huge hit and we’re psyched to round out the collection with three more designs from Green Glass. Say hello to sturdy glasses made from post-consumer Rolling Rock bottles, as well as assorted sets of clear and amber tumblers made from Boylan’s bottled drinks. Cheers!

We’re excited to introduce these fabulous chopstick bowls from designer Bryan Park! Made using some of the billions of chopsticks the world throws away every year, they’re collected from restaurants, ultra-sanitized, and then dyed with tea. They make a great gift - useful, eco-friendly, and easy on the eyes!

Alternative Consumer is a fan of the newest Vinylux item, the Vintage Record Frame!  Designer Jeff Davis is a pro at recycling records into great items every home can use.  Woot!
