ESCAMA ("fish scales" in Portuguese) brings to an international market the products of the Cia do Lacre and 100 Dimensao women's cooperatives, located in Brasilia, Brazil. The cooperatives offer women in the community a means to earn money through their handicrafts, and also serves as a support system for the group. Production decisions are in their hands, and inside each bag is a card with the name of the artist who crocheted the piece.
